OUR INMERSION PROGRAMS
Linguistic immersion is all about immersing the language learner – our Spaniards – in the language that they are trying to learn – in this case, English – by only letting them talk to native speakers for a prolonged period of time. That’s where our volunteers come in. They provide that native English magic ingredient that lets our Spaniards be immersed in English and lets them be submerged, engulfed and enveloped in nothing but English for the entirety of the program.
WHY DO WE NEED VOLUNTEERS?
Just as having a good coach is an essential component of excelling at a sport, having a good teacher is an essential part of learning a language. However, as every great athlete knows, to truly become one of the best in your field, besides all of the physical conditioning, all the drills and all of the technical corrections that your coach will put you through, you have to go out and play the game – no correction, no finesse – just hours and hours of game time under their belt. They need you there to help them do it.
For those of you who would love to take part in one of our programs, but simply don’t have time to commit to a six day program, here’s your solution: WeekendTown!
